| I am having some serious issues with this game. No hits on a stationary target... Even though they are wide out in the open and I can see my hit register on the scope. Piss poor refresh times for the server list, game crashes to desktop when trying to load single player... These are the biggest things I am having issues with. Anyone else? Also it isn't my hardware or drivers causing the crashing. Multiplayer works fine and Singleplayer worked fine too until one of the more recent updates. |

I had some desktop crash issues the one time our server was full and I believe others were having the same issue. I think there is lag especially on the European servers that causes the "No Hit" issues. I shoot people from time to time and and get killed in return in MP.
As far as the refresh times I found a short cut. Instead of doing a full refresh, just check all of the boxes and type Hardcore in the search field and you will get a list within 10 seconds. It's not as big as the full list but there are plenty of servers to choose from.
I have been busy this last week so I haven't had much play time but I intend to play tonight. Hope to see you guys on then. |

| Sounds good, on the particular map I was playing on I believe the issue I was having was possibly a clipping issue, being able to see them at long distances through a rock. It was on the Lighthouse map, and it would be the third time defending/attacking the MCom stations. Get behind the Lighthouse, not in it, and than face the third MCom base and as a sniper you should be safe from getting shot but be able to make most of your shots. |

I haven't had any issues since that one day where our server was packed so I'm thinking it was due to server overload. I wasn't the only person getting kicked so it makes sense to me. Now if I were the only person this happened to, then I would say it's on my end but I know that my rig is 100% stable guaranF'INGteed. |

| Yea, I would say sure I could jump on that bandwagon except I don't have RealTek onboard sound or RealTek onboard NIC... All my drivers are current and it is definitely NOT a lack of horsepower either... I am running a quad core Q6600 OCed to 3.06GHz, 4GB of OCZ Reaper DDR2, GeForce GTX275, and a Creative Labs Audigy 2 6.1 Sound Card... I personally think it is something that was never found during the debugging stages of the game and is a problem in the game, not with the users hardware and or driver settings. Too many people are having the issue for it to be that. |

I agree with you guys. Too many people are having this problem for it to be something so simple. Its gotta be something pretty low level in the game code to crash out like that. If it at least was a 'real' crash the program would report something to windows like an error code. Being that DICE hasnt even responded to the posts might be a OH NOES on their end.
I bet its got something to do with the stats recording crap. Or maybe the script kiddies are throwing alot of junk at EA to try to obtain peoples passwords. I remember back in the day hackers gained alot of peoples EA accounts for BF2 and were getting people banned. EA had to do a rollback on the whole system and unban a bunch of people. |

Heres my latest problem you guys may be having and not know it:
So last night we were playing on that beer drinkers server that was packed out. I would die within ~2 seconds of spawning 95% of the time. A couple of times my screen wouldnt even form before i would be thrown back into the spawn menu. I figured oh well laggy server or my POS pc. But when we went to our server and I was still bitching about it wanker said I had been standing there the whole time I was saying I couldn't click the join button. The timer had ran out and the button would pop out after about 3 seconds and I would click it again and about 3-5 times before it would actually let me on the field. So I guess I was standing there about 10 seconds and couldnt do anything. I tried single clicking and waiting and spamming the button but made no real difference. So it turns out there is an issue.
People are calling it spawn lag and apparently its caused by anti virus 'looking' at the EXP responses from the game to the server or something like that. Ill try this and let you guys know if it helps me. On a full server and spawning on teammates your a free kill. I use AVG antivirus.
Heres a couple of forum posts that fit the description of what was happening to me:
http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/battlefield-bad-company-2-pc/1056204-spawn-lag-fix-least-me-now.html

I wanted to let you guys know because you could be having this problem and not know it. Pretty much as soon as the ticker hits 0 you should be able to spawn like before the patch, so if you notice any difference in spawning speeds you may have a problem but not as bad depending on your PC and AVG. |

| I only noticed lag last night while we were playing but I don't recall it happening when I was respawning. |
