Guys, Im looking for some input into what we can get our server to do. Me and Zuke have been playing with the tool that gives us easy admin capabilities. Theres a lot of customization we can have. We can change all of this stuff below:
Welcome message:

Server spam messages in chat on a timer: the timer is currently set to 6 mins (too long? too short?)

Server automatic response messages. I think %n is the killer and %t is the target now. used to be %k and %v so the messages are broken on our server at the moment.
Killing Spree Messages: #of kills message
8 Holy Shit! %n is a freaking killing machine!
12 A dozen kills! %n is unstoppable!
15 OMG you NOOBS! Get off your asses and kill %n
18 OK %n's gotta be hacking! 18 kills in a row?!?! NICE
Killing spree ended message:
8 kills: %n Finally managed to get his ass killed!
Server weapon kill messages: weapon used #of kills message:
cg2 5 %n 's Gustav finds noobs!
uzi 4 %n doesn't get mad, he get's UZI
SAIGA 5 %n's Shotty goes BOOM!
knife 1 %n just stole a set of dogtags from %t
Im looking for a bunch of hilarious shit here!

We can also limit the number of kits on a side. Limit snipers? What do you guys think?
Servers also support no vehicles aka infantry only.
I still havent figured out how to change the spawn timers. |

| I think we should keep the messages to about every 5-6 minutes but scatter them so one comes up every 2-3 minutes. I would also like to see messages about assault people throwing down ammo and medics throwing down health packs. If someone is going to be recon then do your team a favor and use the spotting scope to help find mines for vehicle drivers. |

| Dad's Army server has some good messages about people using their specific class skills to help further the match. Dropping packs etc. I would say build upon that including, like Zhukov mentioned, snipers doing something other than playing pocket pool in their ghille suits in the corner. |

| Our server sits empty too much. We all need to pick a date and time to play in it. I'll be on more often over the next three weeks since I'm taking Friday's off along with the rest of the wekend. Hope to see you guys there. |

| Agreed. Most of the time I get on, there isn't anyone on. So get that time set and I'll be down pretty much for whenever. |

Ok, I have found some commands. Take a look particularly the bottom one for respawn delay! What do we need to set it too?
Effective settings:
tickets <integer> (default varies from level to level) for Conquest, number of tickets for both teams for Rush and Squadrush, number of tickets for the attacking team for Squad Deathmatch, winning ticketcount
ticketBleedSpeed <percent> (default: 100) specifies how quickly tickets should bleed when one side has dominance
vehicleSpawnRate <percent> (default: 100) specifies how quickly vehicles should respawn; this does not affect other caps that are built into the levels, such as “Max X vehicles of type Y on this level”
vehiclesDisabled <true> (default: false) When disabled, vehicles and stationary anti-vehicle weapons are removed from the level.
startDelay <seconds> (default varies from gamemode to gamemode) pecifies how long the spawn-delay will be once the first player has loaded in to a map
respawnDelay <seconds> (default: 15-20 somewhere) when a player is killed, it takes this long until he/she can spawn in again. Minimum allowed value is 10 seconds.
Let me know and Ill start hacking on the cfg files on the server. |

| Ok I put the spawn delay at 10 sec. I set the vehicle spawn to 3x normal (300). Do you guys think thats high enough? Maybe 400? Maybe lets play on it and see how it feels. |
