Aye thanks, been two years it's been OCed usually @ 2.8GHz or 3.0GHz. Only kick it up into high gear for messing around. Nothing out there yet technology wise that tempts me to upgrade.

Really? You don't want to experience at least 45nm chips with DDR3? Heck the 32nm's are out now with i3 Clarkdale. I'll tell you the LGA1156 and LGA1366 are some really nice chip sets and folks are getting some high OC's out of them.

No reason to, not for what I do. I do some video gaming and some occasional video/photo stuff. I already have a quad core. The gains really aren't great enough for me to justify building a new rig. Averages of maybe 5%-15% are meh, and I can close a lot of those gaps by OCing. I have gotten the Q6600 as high as 4.0GHz but couldn't get it stable and couldn't keep it cool enough (air only does so well, even when 0°F air is being circulating in the room through open windows... ) When performance has increased a solid 25% and I can no longer keep up with the new video games coming out, which I don't forsee happening for a bit, I will consider an upgrade. For now I am satisfied with my computing power.
